Pressure Service Desk

Find a fast front and rear PSI starting point without the guesswork

PSI Zone turns rider weight, tire width, surface, and setup details into one clear pressure baseline, then shows how the same build shifts across road, dirt, and singletrack.

Surface check updates all three terrain targets Bike type seeds weight and posture assumptions Tire width still drives most of the pressure shift Tube-type setups get a little extra protection buffer Front and rear stay split because more load lives over the back wheel Surface check updates all three terrain targets

Build Your Setup

Start with the main ride details first. PSI Zone keeps the output compact but leaves the assumptions visible enough to tune.

Rider weight lb

Bike and gear assumptions are seeded by bike type and adjustable later.

Bike type

Seeds baseline bike weight and balance.

Surface target

Readout also compares the other two surface targets.

Tire width mm

Width strongly shapes the resulting pressure range.

Wheel size

Small effect, but it helps refine the recommendation.

Tread style

Match the tread pattern on your current tire.

Setup

Tube-type gets a small protection buffer.

Typical speed mph

Choose the pace that sounds closest to your usual ride.

Advanced assumptions

Bike type establishes the defaults. Use this panel when your actual setup is unusually light, heavy, or front-biased.

Riding posture

More aggressive positions move more load over the front wheel.

Added bike + gear weight lb

Adjust the starting estimate if your build carries more or less weight than normal.

Front wheel weight bias %

Rear share automatically updates from the remainder.

44% front / 56% rear
Returns posture, added weight, and weight balance to the selected bike defaults.

Ride Notes

Pressure Playbook

Use the calculator as a starting point, then fine-tune around the feel of your own tires, terrain, and riding style.

Drop 1 to 2 PSI when
  • the bike feels skittish on loose dirt or rough singletrack
  • you want more grip without changing tire choice
  • the ride feels too sharp over chatter and washboard
Add 1 to 2 PSI when
  • the tire folds in hard corners or drifts more than expected
  • you feel rim strikes, squirm, or vague sidewall support
  • you are loading the bike for pavement speed or heavier bags
